Established in 2000 in Turkey, Rixos pioneers the ‘ALL Inclusive, ALL Exclusive’ concept, inviting guests to discover a world of possibilities, with luxurious stays, inclusive of culinary delights from around the globe, live entertainment, daily sports, and fitness activities, sensorial spa and wellness journeys and fun-filled kids and teens activities.
Billed as ‘the first luxurious integrated resort in Jeddah’, Rixos Obhur Jeddah will meet the increasing demand for luxurious hospitality paired with high-quality leisure activities in the area. The resort will host guests in 250 residential units, including 176 rooms and 74 villas, as well as a fine-dining restaurant, two specialty beach restaurants and a lounge bar. Among its many highlights will be an exclusive private beach. Other amenities are to include a central ballroom for events, meeting rooms, a fitness center, a spa, kids and teens clubs, and several swimming pools. All of this will be set amid green landscaping, golden beaches and a port.

Job Description

  • Have a thorough knowledge of the entire hotel services and facilities
  • Answer inquiries of room rates, outlets and room locations.
  • To be totally familiar with all aspects of the reservation systems
  • Handle all reservation requests using good listening and communication skills to secure information necessary to complete a reservation
  • Post advance deposits and keep accurate records of deposits.
  • Process rooming lists and group blocks and indicate special requests and billing procedures
  • File and process reservations correspondence, make certain all files are current and in order.
  • Have knowledge of Front desk, Sales and Accounts departments and how they relate to the Reservations department.
  • Abide by the hotels policies and procedures
  • Be familiar with changes in the rates and group enquiries
  • Complete daily shift task list and aid others
  • To be aware of inventory management and keep a constant check on the room types available throughout the day
  • To have an understanding of departmental goals and projections for average rate and occupancy
  • Accommodate and document special requests in an accurate and efficient manner.

Skills:

  1. Comprehensive Knowledge: Understand all hotel services and facilities.
  2. Customer Service: Answer inquiries about rates, outlets, and room locations effectively.
  3. Reservation Systems: Be fully familiar with the reservation systems in use.
  4. Communication Skills: Use good listening and communication skills to handle reservation requests.
  5. Record Keeping: Post advance deposits and maintain accurate deposit records.
  6. Group Management: Process rooming lists and group blocks, noting special requests and billing.
  7. File Management: Organize and keep reservation correspondence and files current.
  8. Interdepartmental Knowledge: Understand how the Reservations department interacts with Front Desk, Sales, and Accounts.
  9. Policy Adherence: Follow hotel policies and procedures diligently.
  10. Rate Awareness: Stay updated on changes in rates and group inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience

What you’ll do…

  • Check Hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, VIPs.
  • Builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services.
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Register and process check in for all the arrivals.
  • Handle guest check in and check out procedures efficiently and professionally.
  • Update guest profile in Opera after a complete check in
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to guest and respond promptly to all requests and inquiries at all time.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Hotel Management
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar role in a 5 stars Hotel
  • Be smart, well groomed, friendly and cheerful whilst exhibiting the highest standards of Rixos hospitality all the times.
