Drainage Engineer
Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Drainage Engineer to join our Doha team! In this role you will design complex storm sewer networks applying engineering techniques and analyses on large subdivision development and highway projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- The Engineer at this level is proficient in the utilization of basic hydraulic engineering theories & practices, preparation of Hydraulic Models and Drawings; and basic contribution to report writing.
- Assignments involve engineering/CAD applications.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- MME Engineer Registration.
- Experience in Qatar and Middle East is a plus.
- Technical Competencies:
- Perform complex storm/groundwater networks layout design, and networks under supervision efficiently and accurately.
- Production of quality Plan and profile drawings.
- Participate in preparation of design reports.
- Proficiency in utilizing Bentley StormCAD, SewerGEMS, InfoDrainage and Civil 3D for design and production of foul sewer hydraulic models and drawings.
- Info Works and ArcGIS experience are a plus.

Highway Design Engineer
Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Highway Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on projects that change the fabric of our community.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Highway Design Engineer will provide project design civil engineering services such as preparation of project study reports, project reports, geometric approval drawings, plans, specifications and estimates.
- Design horizontal and vertical roadway alignments and super elevation diagrams.
- Perform quantity calculations project estimates.
- Managing Associate Engineers in completing project deliverables.
- Develop details to construction, detour, signing & marking.
- Coordinate with project team and interdisciplinary technical personnel.
- Assists the senior staff in completing the project deliverables.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
- Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- At least Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in the field of highway and roadway design using Autodesk Civil3D, Microstation and GeoPak design software.
- A thorough working knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines is required.
- Roadway & Highway design experience in Qatar projects.
- Geometric alignments design
- Must be MME certified.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal and have experience in composing correspondence related to his responsibilities.

- MME Certification
- Must be MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) certified in Qatar.
