Eid al-Adha, also known as “Eid al-Adha” or “Eid al-Kabir”, is one of the important religious holidays in Islam. Eid al-Adha falls on the tenth of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Hijri calendar, and comes after performing the Hajj rituals in Mecca.
During Eid al-Adha, Muslims offer sacrifices as an expression of sacrifice and closeness to God. People slaughter sheep or cattle and distribute the meat to relatives, the needy, and the poor. The Initiatives and Volunteering Incubator “Izdihar” is one of Qatar Charity’s projects that aims to develop and support the capacity building of volunteers and humanitarian initiatives in all fields and raise awareness of their importance in advancing society and creating a better tomorrow within an organized framework, and to be an edifice of creativity and a platform for community and humanitarian awareness, through development.
