  • Checking Identification: Verifying the identity of individuals entering the premises, ensuring that only authorized persons gain access.
  • Controlling Entry and Exit: Managing the entry and exit points to the facility, including operating security gates and doors.

3. Incident Response

  • Responding to Alarms: Investigating and responding to alarm triggers or security alerts.
  • Handling Emergencies: Taking appropriate action during emergencies such as fires, medical situations, or security threats.

4. Reporting

  • Documenting Incidents: Recording details of any incidents, security breaches, or suspicious activities in logbooks or reports.
  • Reporting Issues: Informing management or law enforcement about any significant security concerns or breaches.

5. Customer Service

  • Assisting Visitors: Helping visitors with directions, information, or other needs, while maintaining security protocols.

7. Safety Inspections

  • Checking Safety Equipment: Ensuring that fire alarms, extinguishers, and other safety equipment are operational and accessible.
  • Inspecting Premises: Performing regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.

8. Access Log Management

  • Maintaining Logs: Keeping accurate records of who enters and exits the premises, including visitors and staff.
  • Reviewing Access: Verifying that access logs match expected visitor or employee activity.

9. Security Protocol Development

  • Assisting in Procedures: Helping to develop and implement security procedures and emergency response plans.
  • Participating in Drills: Engaging in drills and training to prepare for various emergency situations.

10. Equipment Operation

  • Using Security Tools: Operating security tools and equipment such as metal detectors, walkie-talkies, and security barriers.
  • Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring that security equipment is in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions.

11. Liaison with Authorities

  • Coordinating with Law Enforcement: Working with local police or emergency services when necessary, such as during investigations or major incidents.
