Planning Engineer

Job Summary and Purpose

Responsible for Scheduling, Progress monitoring and preparing progress report in line with contractual requirements and various internal Project Control Reports to support project operations, ensuring planning procedures are met.

Accountabilities

1. Responsible to create Work Break Down structure as per Project specification and maintain progress data on assigned Project Folder and to prepare progress reports for section meeting.

2. Develop and submit Manpower loading for Current Project.

3. Monitor Productivity, Mahours Varience  and Grit consumption trackers in line with the project area allocation and  to monitor Sub contractor and Inhouse blasting  progress.

4. Develop micro plans and work schedules for upcoming  Projects.

5. Responsible for 4 Monthly Resource planning and control, Progress monitoring and reporting.

6. To assist Manager with Section KPI target updates and submit weekly status.

7. Produce various short, medium and/or long term project plans, schedules, resources and project deadlines considering projects that may be scheduled concurrently. 

8. To assist Manager with planning progress outputs and for project status presentations.

9. Establish the requirements for each project  in line with Central Planning guidence with regard to scope of work, job-specific procedures and planning and scheduling requirements. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports of mechanical, piping, steelworks and electrical works and track man hours.

10. Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

11. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed on order to contribute to the continuous operations of the Section process.

12. Risk & Change management: identifies potential risks and issues that may impact project schedules and develops contingency plans to mitigate these risks and continuously monitor and evaluate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
• Primavera  P6.
• An accredited Degree / Diploma or higher in any discipline (preferably engineering/science)
• Hull blasting and coating standards and experience is an added Value.

Skills:
  1. Project Management:
    • Proficiency in managing project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
  2. Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on project requirements.

Experience:
• Resource planning experience in Ship repair, Conversion, offshore & New BuildingB/ Offshore/ Oil & Gas Industry.
• Minumum 4  years relevant working experience preferabbly in Shipyard or Oil & Gas IndustryHull blasting and coating standards, resource planning experience is an added Value.

Project Manager

Job Summary and Purpose

Responsible for individually allocated projects in ship repair, conversion, off shore, rigs and new build. The role require the project manager to handle project planning and scheduling, Co-ordinating with ship owner’s representative, various trades and yards senior management, Co-ordinating with invoicer on commercial issues. Preparation of all documents concerning the projects.

Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities:
1.    Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Project Management department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
2.    Responsible for planning and running of the projects allocated in ship repair, conversion, new build and off shore jobs. 
3.    Liaise with the Trades and make all necessary schedules for the project (preliminary, completion and revisions.) Ensure that all activities relating to the project are properly planned and that the plans and responsibilities are understood by all concerned parties. Identify any yard process which may cause delays or which can be optimized and propose solutions for the same.
4.    Responsible for monitoring the progress of the project to ensure timely delivery of assignments while maintaining standards and cost effectiveness. Ensure programs are front lined on daily basis. Develop contingency plans in advance in case items on the critical path are delayed.
5.    Effectively manage the project team including personnel from the functional departments and ensure effective communication at all times.
6.    Arrange project meetings, internal and external as necessary to ensure the effective tracking of man-hours spent. 
7.    Track the cost of consumables which are being booked on the projects and maintain effective control of the same.
8.    Customer care – accountable for daily contact with the customers representative to report status, resolve issue and negotiate changes to schedule.
9.     Ensure that all project / contract deliverables including final documentation are properly submitted to the client in timely manner. Ensure project documents are maintained complete, current and stored appropriately. 
10.    Ensure the project close out reports are maintained which includes the project evaluation, assessment of the results and lessons learnt.
11.    Develop project Status reporting. 
12.    Liaise and co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Planning and commercial to ensure compliance to the regulations and project specifications.
13.    Prioritizing jobs carried out on board as per project requirements and allocating resources based on availability of work resources.
14.    Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
15.    Performs other related duties or assignments as directed on order to contribute to the continuous operations of the department.
